The founder of a charity who was surprised with a $30,000 donation had just 24 hours to decide how to use the money. On Wednesday, CTV's Canada AM viewers found out how she used the money to bring Christmas to a family in need.

In 2008, Audrey Guth founded Nanny Angels Network, an organization that provides nanny services to women with cancer in the Greater Toronto area so they can focus on rest and healing.

On Tuesday, Guth was surprised on-air with the money as part of TD Canada Trust's Make Today Matter campaign. From the CTV studio, she went straight to the Brampton, Ont. home of the Sharma family.

"The Sharma family is a family that the Nanny Angel Network has been working with for a little over a year," Guth said.

When Priyanka Sharma was seven months pregnant, she was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer, meaning it had spread to other areas of her body.

Despite the cancer, both Priyanka and her baby survived, but she is still fighting cancer a year after baby Kriti was born. She's been getting treatment at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, and wasn't able to be at home when Guth surprised the family at their home, greeted as "auntie" by Priyanka's oldest daughter Aditi.

"Santa's helpers are here!" Aditi said, as a group of volunteers approached their home.

Guth and a group of TD volunteers decorated the house with lights and a Christmas tree, and brought presents for the two girls.

'I'm so thrilled that I can help you and help the girls and help make this a special time," Guth told Priyanka's husband Pawan as they both wiped away tears. Nanny Angel Network will also be providing a nanny to give Priyanka some time to rest as she heals.

"I have no words, no words," Pawan said, hugging Guth.

"You've had to play the roles of both parents while Priyanka's getting better and it's been a very tough year for you," Guth said as the girls opened boxes on the floor.

Crying, Pawan told her he wished he could open a box and find out that his wife was healthy again.

"I wish I had a box for that," Guth told him.

"But you know what is in this box? It's hope. And we're all hoping that there are good things to come."

Guth and Pawan brought photos and video of the meeting to the hospital where Priyanka is getting treatment. She laughed and smiled, saying the surprise immediately raised her spirits.
