If you want a whole herd of cows to quickly gather around, perhaps just take a seat in a lawn chair and start playing the trombone.

At least that's the trick that works for Kansas farmer Derek Klingenberg, as evidenced in a recent YouTube video.

Speaking to CTV's Canada AM, Klinginberg said this is the time of yearwhen his grazing cows, out to pasture, are rounded upand fed protein “cubes.” It’s a trick that makes it easier to round them up later on.

But this year he decided to play the trombone every time thecattle came in to eat. So now when he plays, they come together– not unlike Pavlov’s famous dog experiments.

The video first just shows Klingenberg, a lawn chair and a field as far as the eye can see. Once he starts playing, it doesn't take long before a few small black dots appear on the horizon. Within minutes dozens of cows are shaking their tails as they watch Klingenberg play.

As for why he plays Lorde's 'Royals'as his tune of choice, Klingenberg said he just really likes the song.

The video was posted Sunday and already has almost three million views.

Klingenberg also had a stint with YouTube fame last year when his parody of "What Does the Fox Say"-- titled "What Does the Farmer Say" -- earned more than five million views.
