SIMMERING POTPOURRI
Scent your entire space with an easy simmering potpourri. Combine everything into a saucepan filled with water and set it on your stove to simmer. You'll be amazed at how effective this is for creating a festive ambiance the moment your guests walk through the door.

  • 8-10 cups water
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/2 lemon, sliced
  • Handful of cranberries
  • Handful of star anise
  • Handful of cloves
  • 2-4 cinnamon sticks

GIFT WRAP RUNNER
Dress up your table by adding a strip of festive wrapping paper as a runner. This is an easy way to decorate your table for the season and eliminates the need for special tablecloths. And post-party clean up is a cinch too!

CUSTOMIZED STEMWARE
Set out a bunch of Sharpie markers and encourage guests to customize the base of their glass with their name. No need to buy special wine charms. The marker can be washed off easily, or rubbed off post-party with some rubbing alcohol. This is a great way to cut down on the amount of glasses used throughout the night. It's also fun to see the creativity of guests come out when they have a marker in their hand.

FRUGAL & FESTIVE FUN!
Photo booth props are a fun way to add some frugal entertainment to the festivities. Set out the props and watch with a smile as guests grab items and start snapping pics. Give your event a special hashtag and create some buzz on social media all night! You can make your own props, or go to Etsy and find sellers who have done the work for you!

TAKE AWAY GIFT
Don't let guests leave empty handed! This simple and frugal DIY gift works well as a take away gift. Stock up on seasonal candy from the bulk store and put handfuls into glass jars. Decorate the jar with a bit of gift wrap and some ribbon. Ta-da! A sweet and festive party favour. Check out this video.
