Famoso Pizzeria took eighth place in a ranking of the top 14 cities for pizza in the world. Justin Lussier shows how to make a traditional Neapolitan pizza.


Don Andreas Pizza

Ingredients and instructions:

  1. Hand-stretch pizza dough.
  2. Add 2 tbsp. of creme fraiche, spread evenly over pizza dough.
  3. Sprinkle 3 oz. fior-di-latte over pizza.
  4. Add 1 cup of shredded roasted chicken over pizza.
  5. Cook in oven.
  6. Cut into 6 slices.
  7. Place 2 1/3 cups of corn and chipotle salsa on pizza evenly.
  8. Cut avocado into 8 slices and place on pizza - 6 around the outside and 2 in the middle.
  9. Garnish with 2 pinches of cilantro and one lime wedge. Serve with hot sauce on the side. Enjoy!

 

Corn & Chipotle Salsa

Ingredients and instructions:

  1. Rough chop 6 tbsp of cilantro and mix with 3 cups of corn nibblets in a bowl.
  2. Add 2 tsp of cumin to the bowl.
  3. Squeeze two limes into a strainer, and add the juice to the bowl.
  4. Puree 2 tbsp of chipotle peppers and add to the mixture with extra virgin olive oil.
  5. Chop 4 cloves of garlic to 1/16 of an inch and add to bowl, along with 1 cup of diced red onion. Add 1 tsp of salt.
  6. Dice 1 red bell pepper into 1/4 inch pieces, and add to the bowl. Mix the ingredients until well incorporated.

 

In terms of the dough, the ingredients consist of the following:

- water

- yeast

- salt
