Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth in the hit show “Game of Thrones,” is in Toronto to launch the sold-out exhibitionfor the fantasy show series, which opens tomorrow at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
The exhibition runs from May 14 to 18, and will feature almost 100 original artifacts from the show, including costumes, weaponry and storyboards.
The actor says the cast of the wildly popular TV show is just “going along for the ride.”
“It’s been taken out of our hands now -- the fans have kind of taken it, and it’s a real joy,” he told CTV’s Canada AM. “It’s a beautiful quality piece of television and its lovely to be involved in it.”
Cunningham plays the loyal Seaworth -- a convicted smuggler who now acts as the hand to Stannis Baratheon -- one of the many characters on the show seeking a claim to the Iron Throne.
“He’s a joy to play, no matter what’s done, he’s sort of the conscience of the peace in a small way.”
The exhibition will also run in Vancouver from August 16 to September 1.
